It was just yesterday that my first puppy bitch came into Detroit Metro Airport from Arizona...... I was so happy and in love. Prissy was to be a very special part of my life. I loved and adored her for her 3 short years she owned me....and she was the reason I started down the path to the showring.
It is so important for anyone bitten by the showing/breeding hobby to invest in the best pedigrees and quality frenchies available you can afford. Equally wise is to educate yourself in all facets of your chosen breed. Of course knowing the pedigrees, that is, the individual dogs making up the pedigree and what they achieved, is necessary. Not just show wins, or championships does a quality frenchie make, but quality from top to bottom is the primary ingredient necessary in improving a kennel. Alot of the showworld is very political, it isn't always the best dog that wins. It can be the money backing the dog as well as a high profile handler at the end of the leash.........yes, sad but true. However, by knowing the dogs, you have a greater insight in regards to health issues, litters produced, show achievements, life spans, colors and well, you get the picture.
Although the girls I've adopted have been few compared to other breeders, they have been quality individuals. Wonderful temperments, loving companions, beautiful pedigrees, the characteristics that help improve this breed.............
Please take a look at some of my girls, they embody the hallmark features of our breed standard.............
